A Mendelian State of Mind

Hello “world”!

So I started a blog. It seems like everybody and their granny has one, so I thought, “Why not?” I’m a recently graduated doctoral scientist. Essentially an overeducated, underpaid lab rat! Just kidding. Actually I’m not. I am fascinated by how modern scientists, for the most part, are unable to communicate with the general public. This blog is my reaction to medical/science-based news and advances.

Why “abstraction reaction?” you ask. The “reaction” part is self explanatory. “Abstraction” is because I think that scientists could do a better job of boiling things down and making their points more succinctly to those around them WITHOUT dumbing it down. People nowadays are smart. I think that’s the first mistake most scientists/doctors make. I later found out that “abstraction reaction” has a precise definition in chemistry.
